    Here we go:

    - Core characters. Check.
    - New minicomics with the figures. Check.
    - Retail based. Check.
    - Price $14.99.
    - Blister-card. Check.
    - Launching 2020. Check.
    - Introducing new characters? Unclear answer. Maybe down the line...
    - Vehicles, beasts and playsets. Unclear answer; they are still looking at a lot of options.
    - Minicomic based. Not so much! Just re-introducing the vintage toy line with new articulations and interchangeability. Minicomic based characters could be convention exclusives!
    - Classics continuing? Unclear answer. More likely it's over, for now!
    - The Four Horsemen are "somehow" involved and/or when needed...

Ok, after he said they all come apart at the waist by design I decided I'm all in!

It's a bummer if that single card He-man really doesn't come with extra hands or heads..

Yeah, if you watch Dan's review of the SDCC exclusive, you'll see how He-Man's torso pops off just like Rotar's or King Hssss' in Classics. So customization is now a little more attainable than before.

At $15 a figure with a minicomic included I think it eats the most of budget from having extra heads or accessories!... Hopefully we'll be able to get separate packs of extra heads and accessories down the road.

Who knows, but I think early decisions were taken with some stubbornness to listen! Their ways or no way so to speak!

Yeah so true. I forgot why they picked green brick over red exploding rocks on the packaging!

If I remember correctly, the green brick was chosen to differentiate Classics from previous releases. Or they just liked the Greyskull motif. It was many moons of Scott babble ago that he addressed it.

I think this’ll be a great line to get my kids. They’re just about the age I was when I was getting the vintage figs. It might also keep them off of dad’s Classics, lol.

I agree, however it needs some tweaks for us adults to be satisfied especially if Mattel still wants hardcore collectors to pick it up without much hesitation.

Yeah I’m not sure if this is a line I’d get behind as a collector. Biggest appeal to me is new mini comics.

Me on the other hand, mostly likely I'll be picking them up, especially if these will remain under $20 per unit. I really hope we get to see a full line of these toys, not just select core characters!
The included mini-comics is an enticing move no doubt, especially if their art quality is up there with the Alcala style, or at least close to it.

I really like the inclusion of mini comics too. The customization possibilities has me intrigued and the packaging rules!!!

My only gripes so far is the exclusion of multiple hands or heads in the standard commercial versions (which could change). I also wish the loincloths weren't sculpted on and were rubber material like the Classics and 200x so we could swap them out. Plus I don't know if I like that particular knee articulation just yet

Probably added extra extremities, heads and accessories might happen before the launch date, or at least could be offered separately in packs of their own.

As for the sculpts, I think Cornboy has mentioned somewhere that some tweaks to the loincloth, joints and materials could happen as well if Mattel is willing to take their advice!... Fingers crossed...

That first video Mech posted..... couldn’t help it, but my initial thoughts were “Ruben? Oh **** no”. I’m going to like the line regardless, but I’m extremely disappointed with the “let’s leave mini comic designs for exclusives” thought process. The only nice thing I can actually say about that infamous brand manager is that for the most part, getting exclusives without taking out a second mortgage wasn’t impossible. If this initial 2 pack is any indication, I can’t afford to get any Origins exclusives even if they do have my favourite incarnation of MOTU. That’ll go for any possible Origins Power-Con exclusives too, as those prices seem to be increasing exponentially each year and now he doesn’t even sell to non convention goers any more.

Back to the figures that will be at retail..... I’m liking what I’m seeing, and with the vintage packaging I’m debating if this will be the first line I collect MOC. I don’t really have any more shelf space to start a new line out of package, so MOC might be the way to go for me.
Too bad it’s such a long wait until fall 2020....

I hope the exclusives he's referring to are just simple repaints of certain figures, and nothing of huge importance like the Masks of Power demons and such!
