MattyCollector.com and Super7 have generously donated cool toys to give away as prizes to attendees at the screening! See you at the movies!

    Masters Of The Universe

    Wednesday, January 13 at 9:30 p.m.

Rainbow Cinemas Market Square, 80 Front Street East, Toronto, Ontario.

    Action, Adventure, Fantasy
“I Have the Power!” A battle fought in the stars comes to Earth as the popular Mattel toy line comes to the big screen. After stealing a cosmic key, Skeletor (a perfectly cast Frank Langella) seizes control of the planet Eternia and is on the brink of ultimate power – unless He-Man (Dolph Lundgren) and his allies can stop him. Elevated by Bill Conti’s epic score, this underrated fantasy courses with pulpy energy – Marvel Comics artist Jack Kirby was a source of inspiration. With Billy Barty, Meg Foster, Jon Cypher, Chelsea Field, and Anthony De Longis. Directed by Gary Goddard.

What a great effort to bring some smiles back to these poor children. HMW/Captain Atkin, I salute you.

Eamon did a great job on it, too bad that most of the movie happens on Earth!

Many thanks to everyone who came to the 1987 "Masters of the Universe" screening in Toronto this evening. All of the toy donations for the Syrian refugees was greatly appreciated. A special thanks to Mattel Canada Inc., who donated over 200 toys for the children who now call Canada home. This was a special night to remember, and a great time was had by all. As He-Man would say, good journey!

I had an AMAZING time last night! First time seeing the movie in a theatre in over 28 years. The crowd loved it. Everyone was laughing and having a good time. The audience cheered when Skeletor became the Master of the Universe (loudest applause of the night!) People also went crazy when He-Man said "I HAVE THE POWER!" This movie really belongs to Skeletor, and it was clear that he was the audience favorite. The team from the Power of Grayskull documentary where also on hand and showed their Kickstarter trailer, which was really well done. Captain Atkin also had a trivia contest with some very cool MOTUC prizes to be won. Eamon's poster in the lobby was great to see, and the staff at the theatre also painted some He-Man and Skeletor art that was hung on the walls. It was an epic night!

Glad to see it was a success.

Would you guys believe some dude on Sideshow freaks actually took issue with the cause. Clearly one of those Fox news gobbling idiots who think they refugees are terrorists.
