
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Dolph Lundgren will be starring in the Aquaman movie from Warner Brothers/DC Entertainment. In the film, Dolph Lundgren will be playing the role of King Nereus, who was created by Geoff Johns for DC Comics. The character debuted in 2013’s Aquaman #19, during the ‘Death of a King’ series.
Dolph Lundgren is known for his work in films like Masters of the Universe, The Punisher and The Expendables franchise.
“Aquaman” is based on characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics and stars Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) as Aquaman, Amber Heard (Machete Kills) as Mera, Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man) as Atlantean politician Vulko, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, and Temuera Morrison as Aquaman’s father. It’s being directed by James Wan (Furious Seven, The Conjuring), written by Will Beall (Gangster Squad), and produced by Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder and Zack Snyder.
